Welcome to MSD Support. Find your frequently asked questions here.

Q: What is the difference between MSD (the Madame Solotan Dollar) and CCD (the Cinemates Centralised Dollar)?

A: MSD is used to fund essential operations (school events), whereas CCD is used to fund “non-academic” operations (learn more here). MSD (which are participation points that can be converted for a certain subject) can also be converted to CCD, but CCD cannot be converted to MSD. Since MSD are participation points in a certain subject, we don’t have full control over it, and we obtain these by using “federal contracts” with teachers. However, with CCD, we kind of have full control over it, which can be used to purchase certain commodities in our economy.

Q: I can't load the MSD portal. All it shows me is a black screen.

A: This is a known bug, to show it please reload it again and it will show. For some reason, the page has to load twice for it to show.

Q: Is the MSD portal supported on mobile?

A: Yes, it is. However, it may be easier to use and access on a laptop or tablet (landscape).

Q: How do I sign up for an account or get a MSD portal username and password?

A: Ask us and we'll give you one.

Q: Who can see my balance (of funds)?

A: Only you and the Cinemates Central Bank can see it, this is exactly why we implemented a password based system, just like real banks.
